Our clients relocated to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to their family and approached AZA with a metaphor: a blank, new chapter of their lives with a blank, new home to match.
AZA’s task was to create a cozy feeling of home as our clients nestled into their new surroundings and routines. We layered upon the existing material palette to transform their space into a warm sanctuary, softening the line between refinement and comfort.

Our clients had already served as faithful stewards of their 110-year-old Craftsman home for many years before trusting us with the task of a major renovation and addition. AZA diligently and thoughtfully preserved the original character of the home while elevating dated interior spaces to a more refined standard.
We worked closely with our clients to delicately detail spaces that would feel true to them, their home, and their neighborhood. In addition to architectural services, we collaborated with the client to curate interior furnishings, crafted custom light fixtures with Moon Moon Lighting Co, and designed a custom writing desk crafted by a local artisan that nestles into the new bedroom nook.
